Life after death is not so bad. After the incident with the Impact Corpse, Mioray finally resumes his life, focusing on his studies and his new duty - guiding the souls of the dead to the afterlife.
On top of that, he gets to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a superhero. With his newfound abilities, Mioray does his best to keep the streets of Reques City safe, known to the public only as John Doe, his face hidden behind a mask.
A mask Erinel gave him as a gift. Mioray even finds time to spend with her, going out together during holidays and festivals.
But this fairytale does not last. New arrivals soon shatter his fragile peace and drag him back into a cruel reality. Death is no joy, and there will be plenty of it, with the red planet Mars still looming as a threat over the world below...

Have you ever woken up and felt like you were dead? That’s exactly how Mioray felt when he regained consciousness in a hospital morgue, with no memory of how he got there.
Not long ago, a serial killer had appeared in the city, dismembering victims and scattering their body parts across town, except for their left arms, which were never found.
Mioray, too, had lost his left arm. But that wasn’t all. His body was covered in stitched wounds, running across his right arm, both legs, and even his neck. By all logic, he shouldn’t be alive. And yet, he was.
Unable to explain what happened to him - and with the police eager to interrogate him - Mioray tries to move on, determined to live his life as if nothing had happened.
But fate has other plans. One day, he and his friends are attacked by a monstrous madman, one who can detonate his own body at will…
